Guided Float Trips

The rivers here in East Tennessee are among the top fly fishing destinations and are fertile all year round with some excellent trophy trout, so there will be a lot to catch. Our fishing guide will trailer up and drive you to the river. Have fun casting angles in the river as we navigate.

Our boats provide stable footing and lean bars that keep you steady while aiming for trout. TN Tailwaters offers fun guided fly fishing with a personal touch. Our staff knows the mountain, valley, rocks, bends, and every secret fishing hole on the rivers. We understand the river space like the back of our hand.

Book our float trip to enjoy an enjoyable and exciting guided fly fishing experience. You can fish all you want and take in the beautiful scenery while we drive.

What to Expect on a Guided Fly Fishing Trip

You can expect a fun and relaxed atmosphere along with some of the best scenery offered in Tennessee; along the river’s edge of the South Holston Rivers and Watauga Rivers, you will see wildlife and tree life. Oh yeah, and you can expect rainbow trout and brown trout!

We will trailer up and pick you up from our specified meeting location; start to relax as we drive you to the river and get the boat ready for a day of guided fly fishing.

Once on the float boat, we provide snacks and soft drinks, and water, for full day trips you will have lunch courtesy of TN Tailwaters. Take in the TN mountain tailwaters as we float to our favorite fishing spots. Along the float, ask the guide questions about fly fishing, fish hacks, or river history.

Once we arrive at the best fishing location, it’s time to get your gear and start casting. Our guide can help you set up the gear and use your fly fishing equipment correctly, including the rods, reels, leaders, flies, and tippet.

We can’t wait for you to catch brown trout or rainbow trout with TN Tailwaters.
